Amy had a passion for dance from an early age. She studied at dance schools including Topaz, were she has been for ten years, and also at performing arts colleges. After study, Miss Amy went straight into a performing career, performing in countries such as Cyprus and Greece, toured with a travelling circus, and worked as a resident dancer in venues such as an award-winning theme park. Throughout performing, Miss Amy kept up teaching and always knew she would pursue this later on. Miss Amy is currently working to enhance her teaching qualifications and is studying a part-time degree in dance teaching. She is thrilled to be a part of the Topaz teaching team.
Diane is the Ballroom and Latin teacher here at Topaz. She began dancing lessons at the age of 9 and was taught by highly experienced and well respected teachers Tom & Cynthia Maher at their local dance classes with whom she accomplished all of her amateur medals by the age of 18 to a very high standard. After taking time out to focus on her family and work commitments she returned to the dance floor, studied, and then achieved a highly commended professional status with the Allied Dancing Association. This has enabled her to embrace her passion for dancing once more and distil her expertise on her desired teaching path. She has found teaching extremely rewarding and enjoyable - she loves being able to pass on her skills and knowledge in a friendly, relaxed manner. She runs several classes /group lessons for all different levels of ability from absolute beginners through to experienced /advanced, plus private dance lessons for people wishing to have a personalised choreographed routine for any special occasion.
